Unable to record.

Error message = "Unable to connect MPEG pin"

MediaPlayer.log added to pastebin website yesterday.

I'm using MediaPlayer v0.2.1.0

I downloaded and installed v0.2.2.0 but I get the "Unable to create graph for device" error.

I downloaded and installed last night's svn release, but the configuration program fails with "Input string of wrong format" no matter I do, even if I change nothing and hit OK.

I downloaded the MediaPlayer test tool but when I try running it I get an un-handled exception.

I'm sorry if this is a very poorly written bug report. I've been trying off and on for three hours to produce something better but the newer versions of MediaPortal just aren't working for me and the test tool didn't work either. Sorry guys, my patience just broke.

Using MediaPlayer v0.2.1.0 with a local drive for recording works just fine.

Anything's better than Freecom's own application.

Hi there Loopy

I was experiencing this issue

Are you sure you have 'write' access to the network drive? You might be able to 'read' but are unable to 'write', look in permisions when sharing and enable 'full control' the deafult is just read.

If nothing, try mapping the network drive where you want to record and using this rather than \\Server\TV etc, i.e. Z:\TV

MP might be looking for a drive rather than a network address.

Hope this helps dude ! :)

It's mapped to a drive letter now.

When I specify the directory/folder using the share/unc name (\\server\share) the error message changes to "Insufficient space on device", which is kind of laughable as it has 125Gb remaining.

Yes, permissions are fine.

The share is on a Solaris 10 x86 host, using Samba v3.0.4

hmmmmmmmm...

OK, try deleting the 'card1' folder in your TV recording directory, then restart MP and see what happens, also make sure there are no other folders/files in the TV recording directory

Also make sure you have write access, so try creating a new folder or file in the directory you want to record TV to.

Try that ! :)

    MediaPortal 0.2.2.0 uses Microsofts StreamBufferEngine.
The SBE is not designed to support recording on networkdrives/shares.

    sorry.
