Notices that IMDN lookups are taking a long time if you have a lot of iso or img files because myVideos mounts each of them with Daemon tools first, it does this even if the movie is already in your database.

What is the point of this, surely the name of the iso is all that is needed to go off and get IMDB info.

Can we get this removed, that way it will be a lot quicker for people to do full scans of their db collection. With no iso's in my movie folder, turning off the get actors option and using a csscript grabber to moviesxmldb I can re-scan 200 movies in less than 1 minute.

    Hi,
This is by design since not all have proper naming on .iso files, if i remember correct it was stated as a bug when it didn't. Maybe add a thread in improvement suggestion about a nice solution to both ;)

Thanks for taking time & testing

    Regards
    Roy

ok thanks, not noticed it before but now I rebuilt and switched to Vista I see the daemon tools pop up every iso change, so did some digging.

I will raise as a feature request, would be good to have a tick box to turn this off for those of us who name the iso appropriatly.
