I have the leadtek DVT1000S TV tuner card. This card has digital tuner (But no hardware encoding). It also supports analog video capture via S-video and Video-Composite.
For digital TV reception, this card works fine with MediaPortal. I can see all the channels and do recording. However, I would like to use this card to also capture videos from my Sateline-STB which is connected via the S-video(and line-in for sound).
On the TV-server configuration, MP only detected the digital tuner device. I could not use the analog function of this card. Using the supplied WinFast PVR2 software, I could switch between digital Tuner, S-video and composite inputs.
In the CaptureCardDefinition.xml file, I could see there is a definition for the digital tuner card only, there is no definition for the s-video/composit analog input, which make me to think this maybe the reason that the Analog capture is detected by MP.
My questions are:
1. Can MP support (or utilize) both the digital tuner and the Analog capture function of the leadtek DVT1000S card?
2. If it does, why it didn't detect the Analog capture "card"?
(If the solution is to add a captureCardDefinition entry, can someone more familiar with CaptureCardDefnition help with a sample definition? I have attached a GraphEdit capture showing the relevant filters for the Leaftek DVT1000s)
Thanks in advance.
