Hello everyone,
Newb here. I am interested in setting up media portal as an alternative to WMC as that has been acting up lately and will not play any video anymore. In WMC I was able to have a regular cable line in straight out of the wall work fine. From what I have read about media portal it will only support digital input. I installed the program regardless and proceeded to attempt to config everything. To my surpize it recorginized my turner card right away as "Analog AVerMedia 23888 Turner". I also noticed the option in there to create an analog group. All this led me to believe it might actually be possible. However when I attempted to scan for channels it found no signals whatsoever. Do I need a converter box of some sort or is there another way to correct this? I'm sure this is a very newbie question but have had little luck searching for a definite answer on my own so any help would be great.
Thanks a bunch in advance!
