I am a total beginner at this, so it is entirely possible I made some basic mistakes.

I paid for the Schedules Direct service. My tuner is the Silicon Dust HDHomeRun Extend HDTC-2US (OTA antenna).

First I tried setting up the TV Server to use XmlTv. I was able to get some guide data to appear. After looking around,
I saw the SchedulesDirect Guide Importer plugin and installed SchedulesDirectPlugin-1.11.0.2.mpe1. I used TV Server Configuration / Manual Control to Stop Service. Then I went to the Plugins header and unchecked XmlTv and checked
SchedulesDirect EPG Client. I started the TV service again. I filled in the Schedules Direct username and password.
I went to the Advanced Options tab and checked Force full guide update on TvService startup. I went to Manual Control and stop / started TV Service again.

I started MediaPortal and the guide says No data in most entries. I couldn't seem to get the SchedulesDirectPlugin
to work, so I figured go back to XlmTv. I switched the Plugin and checked XmlTv instead. I did the Manual Control
Stop / Start sequence. When I changed a mapping and pressed Save, it said mapping saved. When I hit OK, it closes
the TV server config program. I started TV Server Config again and the mapping changes I made were no longer there.

I am attaching a zip of the TV Server log folder, a Schedules Direct listing of channel info and a couple screen captures
of the XmlTv mapping screen.

Sorry if my writeup isn't the greatest. I am disabled and sometimes it hurts.

Please let me know if I can provide any more information.

I think having both the SchedulesDirect-plugin and xmltv active at the same time is causing extra problems, I suggest you try to get things reset to a good starting point.

in TV ServerConfig, select Plugins, disable both plugins, go to Import/Export and export all items (TV Channels, TV Groups, Schedules, etc). This saves your TV server setup in a export.xml file. See http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...erver_Configuration/14_Import_Export_Channels

select DVB EPG, and disable both EPG grabbing while timeshifting and grabbing EPG while idle. DVB EPG does not apply to the USA and this adds extra confusion in the log files.

select TV Channels, and delete all your channels to reset the EPG mappings.

select Import/Export again, now do an Import all settings from your export.xml file. This will trigger a TV Server restart. go back to TV Channels to verify you have your channels.

select plugins and enable SchedulesDirect-plugin, don't enable xmltv.

select SchedulesDirect, in Configuration verify your User/Password are setup, set days = 1 for initial testing (faster), in Advanced Options, disable all settings, set Force full guide update, use Manual to stop/start the TvServer and trigger SchedulesDirect download.

This will take a few minutes to run, download channels, download 1 day of EPG data, etc. You can start the main MP1 application and see if EPG data for 1 day is downloaded. Assuming this works, you can set days = 13, trigger another download to get full EPG update.

if you still have problems, upload the tv server log files again so we can look at what is not working as expected

Thanks a million RonD. I followed your directions and the guide data is filled in now.

Is there something that will trigger the SchedulesDirect-plugin to run and capture schedule updates or do I do it manually?

A few of my local OTA channels have changed to a different network, so I passed thar along to Schedules Direct and they will update it in a few days.
Once they reply, how would I tell the plugin that channels have changed. As an example:

7.3 was WXYZ-LW which was the Living Well Network. Now 7.3 is WXYZ-LF which is the Laff Network. MediaPortal is showing the correct Laff guide data, but the
    channel name is WXYZ-LW.

Glad you are up/running, getting USA EPG running can be a pain in the rear. For OTA/ATSC I think SD-plugin keys on the Major.Minor channels numbers (7.3 etc) and should auto-adjust, worst case do the "channel dance" again/

SD-plugin should auto-download, I think the Configuration page (user/passwd) has options to select 24/48/etc hour update. The description is weird but just set 24 hours and you get new updates every day.

For WXYZ-LW, I don't think SD-plugin will change the names, in the TVserverConfig > Channels, you can change the visible name to LAFF or anthing you want the same way you change files name using the Windows FileExplorer

When I went to manually change the name of channel 7.3 from WXYZ-LW to WXYZ-LF I found it was already sending guide info for WXYZ-LF. I did as you said
and manually changed the editable channel name to WXYZ-LF. I reported a couple other channel lineup changes to Schedules Direct and they should fix them fairly quickly.

I really appreciate your help because I was getting nowhere fast. Thank you again.
