I would like to know what the easiest/fastest way is to put some code into MediaPortal that gets called whenever things like startup, shutdown, playing starts, playings stops, recording stops, recording starts, as well as to what methods to call to check whether or not something is currently playing or recording etc. Just a pointer to the relevant source files would be adequate but of course detailed instructions would be better
The background for my question is that my Twinhan DVB-C cards seem to have some (stuttering) problems when Cool&Quiet is enabled, and so i want to make a small plugin that changes the active power scheme, so that Cool&Quiet is disabled when viewing or recording TV, but which also is smart enough to turn it back on afterwards.
