Did you ever use the CD/DVD Speed settings?
edit mediaportal.xml and search for "cdspeed"
remove the setting manually and try again.

i've added some code to capture the error.
shoud be in next publicbuild

No, I never touched it. Well, not lately anyway.

Thanks for answering, gonna try your tip - if it does not work I'll uninstall and delete MP-folder (should do the trick?).

Today. Did a clean install -> updated to last SVN -> used the backup feature -> last SVN -> fiddled with codecs -> installed D-tools

Second last action is probably the issue. Don't waste your precious time thinking about it - if I can't sort it out I'll post again.
