Synopsis::

When I enter mp setup I get the following error msg (its in danish so I will translate to the best of my ability):

microsoft .net framework:
ystem.NullReferenceException: Objektreferencen er ikke indstillet til en forekomst af et objekt.

english: "The object reference is not configured for the appearence /finding of an object"

I can click continue, and the program will run but I have problems with remembering my settings (ie. the remote, but not the tv channels).

I've been messing a fair bit with the database tool for the tv database, but I don't reallty think thats the problem -

Anyone got an idea where to look for the error?

If you havent tried already, delete mediaportal.xml and all the databases from the database directory. Also try the 0130 cvs from 26/8 as the original 0130 had a memleak.

Now i've trieed:
clean install of 1.3
install 2.0
repair .net 2.0

anyone got an idea?

Any logs i could include that would help. the .net error is in danish but was english when i tried 2.0 - would that help?


to specify this error is ONLY related to the setup program, not to MP (thank god, although i thought for a moment I had majorly screwed up during my tried to fix it...)
