I know that the final release is going to make me toast in the morning, do my laundry while I'm at work, and give me a foot massage in the evening, but what can this .NET pre-release do for me today?
I know there's programming importance, but should the "normal" users here be thinking "hey, I should install this to get a whole new MP experience"?
The main reason why I posted this is because it just came out today and people who are working on moving MP to 3.0 could use it. This is not intended for the regular user...
But I do see that the .net 3.0 framework allows for some pretty cool stuff. 3D being one of the "stuff". It appears that it also support animations, videos and lots of other stuff including in the thing called "xaml" !
Some of the devs are already using it (there were earlier pre-releases). The next generation of MP will be using a XAML generated UI, which is sometimes on the forum called the new skinning engine.

So, I had disabled the Windows Update service. Not a wise move, until MP all installed and working nicely. The reason it failed is because DotNetFrameworkChecker.cs looks in Registry HKLM SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\NET Framework Setup\\NDP for v4/v4.0 AND v3.5. W10 has V4.0 but not 3.5. MP installer...
