I've done alot of searching on the forums and I couldn't find an answer for my problem. On my HTPC, I can access a share with all my videos on it just fine. When I type in the share in Explorer, it accesses instantly. It has about 45 directories on it. However, when I access this share thorugh "My Videos" in MediaPortal, it hangs for about 90 seconds with only sporadic spikes in CPU and network activity. Why the huge delay? When I move into subfolders, it's fine. However at the root folder of the share, or the "My Videos" root folder that lists all your "My Videos" directories, it pauses for at least 90 seconds before it will accept input.

Hi, does this happen also when all the network shares are reachable, eg. if you have shares on two pcs and both are up and running?

I get somewhat of a delay (although nowhere near 90s) if at least one of the shares is unreachable. If all shares are there, its almost instantanious.

This could be that it automatically adds a share for my DVD drive, however I don't have anything in it.

Is there a way to disable that? I tried deleting the share but it keeps coming back.

I figured it out, my media server was in the process of a drive going bad! Once I replaced that everything was fine, thanks.
