    Hi All,

Since in the new future I will be moving to a new house, I am thinking about a new setup for my TV Solutions.

I need a Satelite TV Card with CAM (lowest Priority) and capable of doing German HDTV (The newest standards, Medium Priority) and able to use 2 Satelites (Astra & Hotbird, highest Priority).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Depends on what hardware you have got atm. All the current DVB-S2 cards out there are using software decoding and thus you will most probably need a dual core cpu. I just read about a dual tuner -S2 card from Micronas (http://www.micronas.com/pressroom/press_releases/articles/0616/index.html?back=/home/index.html) which can be coupled with an additional hardware-S2 decoder-card (http://www.micronas.com/products/application/MicRacer/index.html) and therefor take the preassure off the cpu. Rumours say that a P4 3GHz whould manage an H.264 broadcast with only 10% cpu-usage..

Too bad neither of these two has hit the shelves yet tho'..
