New guy with a question about firewire (1 Viewer)

So a friend of mine turned me on to this nice little piece of software and I have been spending the last 2 days getting it set up.
I have an issue and cant seem to find the solution.


I have a Motorola QIP-7100 and Verison FIOS. I have installed media portal on a Win7 Ultimate OS. I have sucessfully got the firewire connection to work outside of MP. i can change channels and record with no issues. Now, I am trying to get it to work inside MP. In the TVServer config, there are 4 input cards listed (i have a Hauppauge 1600). I guess I need an emulator or something so that I can use the firewire input and the channel.exe to control the STB? I just have no idea on how to get the firewire to work inside MP. What did I miss lol?

wow nothing? I see that there is a guide that requires a plugin but its no longer available.
