Some motherboard bioses have option to wake VGA adapter when resuming from standby. It's called "repost video after wakeup" or something similar. Not all bioses have this option and using the MP option is sending an event to Windows that the display adapter should be waken up.
If it's not working, you could try to disable "Force shutdown" under Power Scheduler's config. At least my system goes to standby without sending an event to MP when using that force option. And if MP doesn't get event from the sytem that it's going to the standby mode then it's not trying to wake up the monitor / display adapter.

Hi All. Is anyone able to explain (preferably in some detail) the option in MP Config, under General, that says "Turn monitor/tv on when resuming from standby". I've read the description in the manual on the wiki, but that doesn't help me.
How does this work with different video connection types? eg. HDMI (which is what I'm specifically after), DVI, PC/D-SUB? What about things like Yellow RCA (Composite), SVIDEO or Component.
In tourettes post the comment is 'VGA Adapter'. Can anyone specifically explain this is more detail.
Is this option even working at all anymore? I haven't actually seen any evidence that it is.
I'm trying to work out if EDID information is sent with this option.
How do you add a new selection to the TV Guide Rows option in the BasicHome Editor in DWHD? Id like to add an option for 8 Rows. Which xmls should I be looking at to change.?
