    Are you using TVServer?

I have a DTV2000H and with about 5 or 6 fresh MP installs have never had any problems getting it to work with tvserver in MP rc3, rc4 or 1.0.

Cant tell you about the remote. I use an Imon and have never tried to set the Leadtek remote up.

Yes, TvServer will detect your card no problems, as long as you have drivers installed. The only detection problem you might have is when you don't use TvServer and the capturecarddefinitions.xml file is not edited correctly. There is a discussion somewhere on the file editing procedure. What you will need to do is to access your card from the device manager and find the driver ID details string which has a so called moniker if I remember correctly. Then you need to update your card definition file to match your card driver. You need to do it only if you don't use TvServer.
I would recomend you not to play around and use the server as it is so much easier.
Regarding your remote, yes it will work fine. You will need to install a plugin for it and configure it. The only what I couldn't do with this remote iwas to get my PC to wake up from S3 mode. But you can try, maybe your motherboard will let you do it.

P.S. Here are some links for you to have good weekend reading :)

You should use Seba's "CoolReceiver" plug-in, not the Coolcommand plug-in - see this link:

Yes, I was using Seba's plugin. Just couldn't find the link you provided. In the coolcomand topic Seba's plugin is discussed as well, as I remember, this is why I've given the link for reading to Peter. https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...lugin-pvr-2000-a-10125/index6.html#post240002
This was so long ago, I only can recommend if any problems found don't spend too much time, go ahead and buy the Microsoft original MCE remote - the best move I've made.

    Hi fromaron,

Yeah, it was a little frustrating early on trying to get the Leadtek remote working, but Seba did some good work with the latest update and for me everything is working sweet! Never did the bugger to be able to turn the PC on from standby, though, unfortunately, but not a big drama overall.

Peter1929, you should definitely read through the whole thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/plugins-47/coolreciver-remote-plugin-leadtek-tv-tuners-14918/, as there are plenty of tips on how to get the remote working the best it can.

    Good luck, and have fun!

    Cheers,
    Craig
