TV is very slow - from the beginning

Hi,

I am new to MP (and to using forums, too) though fascinated by the oportunities yet a bit frustrated. But first - Am I in the right place to bother with my basics or is there sth. like a Newbee section?

I managed to install MP so far - major problem to run it on a second lcd display found answered in the FAQ, seems not possible due to direct x - but what keeps bothering me ist that my TV is so slow that a slidehow is quicker -

With DVBViewer there is no problem. But I would like to use MP.
But I am close to giving up - would be ver4y kind to show me a place with some answers or to patiently help me....
