Hello all, First post! Before I begin, I want to say congratulations to all who worked on this for a spectacular product. I am a XBMC user who is dabbling in MediaPortal for two main reasons : 1. Bitstreaming HD Audio; 2. Allowing use of EVR so I can use my ATI card's AVIVO enhancements for SD content mostly. I have installed MediaPortal and have spent the better part of the afternoon today fiddling with it, and I have a few questions. I have searched for some of them, but not all, I have to be honest. =) I'd just like a quick answer, or for someone to point me in the right direction. I'll start with the small, nagging points first, and save the biggest ones for last. 1. I have downloaded youtube.fm, and I like it, but is there a way I can just setup a random playlist without actually making a playlist? In other words, just launch the plugin, select say Most Watched, and just have MediaPortal play some random videos from that list continuously? 2. The FAQ mentions that I should be able to adjust the jump steps in the MP Configuration, but I can't find that anywhere, even in Expert Mode. Where is it? 3. I am currently using the CLR skin. Why is it that it won't "remember" my view settings? For example, it defaults to a certain view (I forget the name) when viewing My Movies, and I want it to be List. I have to manually change that every time...any way to make it stick? 4. I have also downloaded XFactor and Black Glass Nova. When I load MP with those skins enabled, I see the initial load-up screen and then, it seems to go back to my desktop. I get the navigation sounds when using my remote, so MP is obviously loaded, but the interface is not displaying. Mind you, I'm using an older projector (will upgrade this week) so I have to display at 1024X768, and I suspect that's the cause. Is that possible? 5. Any way to make MP remember audio setting changes for each individual movie? For example, in XBMC, if I chose the DTS soundtrack for a movie, every time I play that movie, XBMC will default to its DTS soundtrack (once I've selected it once). I have to manually select it in MP every time...any way to avoid this? 6. So I downloaded the TVSeries plug-in, but why is that not in the Extensions Installer? Is it still supported? It looks a little buggy...sometimes my banners display, sometimes they don't (could also be a resolution issue, I suppose, I'll know later this week), and the fanart I choose doesn't seem to want to "stick." 7. And the biggest one : H.264 playback. I am using the FFDShow h.264 DXVA codec, but video is very stuttery. (I have enabled DXVA acceleration in the codec setup menu.) I also tried my PowerDVD h.264 codec, but no difference. I might even to back to XMBC's DSPlayer edition and try those filters to see if they work. =) Whew! That's a lot...anyhow, looking forward to your replies, and I will keep up my searching. Thanks to all in advance for your help! =)
