It looks a bit grey in my opinion too.. perhaps it could use more of the blue like in the new MP icon background.

My first impression was: nice, looking good, big improvement and a fresh design of this age but after reading the comment about to gray, I have to agree on it that it has quite a lot of gray which makes it kinda dull.

One simple change could be another color of the headers from the side sections...

as already said, it's a bit too much grey in it. but if you change the background of the header to white (imho you could even leave the buttons in the headermenu grey), it would look very good.
