Hi guys,

I've downloaded Media portal and applied the latest SVN, monochrome skin, but this probably simple problem has been apparent even with the normal full build.

I have some ripped DVDs (with DVD Fab) in the videos folder of my HTPC. I can see the cover art when browsing my movies but when I choose a DVD it just throws up an error saying:

"Unable to play. VIDEO_TS.IFO
Video codec: mpeg-2v
Audio codec:"

This happes when either the internal player is used or I try to use MPC-HC as an external player.

Ripped films to .avi work fine.

Please help

are the rips in iso format? That's what i use DVDFab for on my system. If so:

-did you set Daemon Tools to mount the iso?

-did you add .iso to the video extensions list in config?

What is the codec you are using to play DVD's?

MPConfig-->DVD-->Main Area-->Video Codec (i think that is the navigation). It seems like your codec cant decode the .vob files.

My codec is either Sonic or nVidia...cant remember. I also think MPV can do it as well.
