newb question on jumping video playback (1 Viewer)

just installed mediaportal and have a very basic question. I'm controlling my MP client with a wireless keyboard.

When I'm playing a video, I want to be able to skip to a certain section of the video file? How do i do that? IN mediaplayer, there is a status line in the bottom and I just click to the middle/end/wherever, and the video jumps to that location. How do i do that with MP? Please help - I'm unable to jump to a backyardigans song for the kids and they are driving me crazy.

i know this is very basic but i can't figure it out.

Hi there and welcome

Pressing the UP (forward) or DOWN (backward) key will jump 10% of the playtime.
Or Pressing LEFT or RIGHT repeatedly until desired jump time is displayed.
Or key in the video position as HHMM ex to jump to 37 minutes, key in 0037

this is perfect... thank you sir.. where do i get more info like this... like i have a bunch of wiggles songs in a dierctory and i want to play one after the other of all the files in the directory...

If you start playing a MP3, MediaPortal will automatically start the next one in the same directory when the currently playing song ends.

these are not MP3's but videos... each video is a song from backyardigans, wiggles, barney, etc. and are about 2 minutes to 5 minutes long.... will go throught he FAQ.. i wish the manual was a PDF so i can read it offline....

For videos you will have to quickly add it to a playlist via context menu. i on remote or F9 (I think??) on keyboard.
