Hi everyone, im Erhan and a newbie to Media Portal. Im a ex MCE 2005 user and switched to Media Portal as I need my Satellite to work from my HTPC.

Anyway I tried setting up the Twainhan 848 with Media Portal but in the Satellites list the Sat i need isnt there?

I need 166.0°E Intelsat 8 otherwise known as PAS8.

The package I use is Selectv (www.selectv.com.au)

Its an Australia package.

The setting are:

LNB: 11300
Symbul Rate: 28800
Freq: 12286 Hor

Can anyone please help?

cheers

Hi there, rename the file below from .txt to .ini and place it in your tvserver tuning parameters folder, that should then show up when you next go to scan. Cheers m

Ok, i have figured out where to put the file and did some adjustments to it so its the same as all the other sat's.

Its in the Autotune area which is a great start but I dont know whan these mean:

LNB0 (Mhz)
Switch (Mhz)
LNB1 (Mhz)

I have LNB setup right as far as I know but I cannot get theKU Band Config up. Or should I leave it as defult?

Which ever way I got I dont get signal. I do use a Diseqc switch A/B and I want to get the A working.

So in the LNB Setup I have:

LNB1
Simple A
KU Band
Tone: none
Panamsat 8

this should be currect.

any ideas?

Hi Erhan, the lnb frequency is specific to the lnb (or horn) on your satellte dish, do you know what frequency it is? 11300 is common but then again there are a numebr of frequencies in use. I would put the frequency in the LNB0 box and leave LNB 1, and switch as zero. Did you enter frequencies on the c-band config? DisEqc should be left as none normally, unless you are using this feature.

I hope the above helps

Cheers
