[QUOTE="bovaboy, post: 708402, member: 110609"] Hi All, New to this and liking MP at the moment, newly changed over from WMC as it con't do what I want (backend server and multiple frontends). Currently running the TV-server on an AMD Athlon LE-1600 2.2GHz running Win7 Ultimate 32bit. Hard drives are both old IDE, one 80GB (System) and the other 500GB (TV Data) though running off of one controller (I do have some newer drives to install). 2GB RAM 2X Haupauge TD500 tuners (4 tuners total), though currently only using one card. I'm only running a single front end at the moment and they are attached by Gigabit ethernet to each other through a Netgear 8 port Switch. Front end is a Aser Aspire Revo ION2 chipset, Dual atom 1.8Ghz (I think) 2GB RAM, Win7 Home Premium. The front end seems to work ok, but the TV server has crashed both days when the stream has been left running with live TV for some time (some time is the only thing my wife told me!). This is odd as I watched a couple of films in the evening and had no problems. Another niggling problem is the fast forward - rewind, it seems to just about show what's being played though not very well at low speeds. If I speed it up to X4/X6 (I think) then the picture just freezes until I hit play again, and it's moved forward some unknown amount. Is there a way of getting this to work (like would it be better if I used a separate drive for Recordings and one for Timeshifting?) or do I need to speed up the backend server operating system? Thanks in advance for any pointers!
