I have used media portal in the past and had little problems. I have recently upgraded to the 2.3.0 stable build. Every time I point media portal to my movies folder over my home network nothing shows up in media portal. The my videos screen is empty and the page header toggles between home and shares but no videos pop up. I have tried everything I can think of and no go. Also there are no errors in the log. Can someone please help.

    Hello cyster15,

might be a problem in the way you are mapping network shares. Have you mapped your shares as remote drive or did you use the "simple" folder-releasing method (I am sure this word is wrong but you should get me).

Well first I enabled the drive to be shared over the network. Then I went into media portal config and navigated to the networked drives and selected them. The movies and music are located on an external HDD connected to the main computer via usb. I navigated to my computer/map network drive and selected the external HDD and individual folders that I want to be able to use in media portal. Not sure if this answers your question. Thank you for the reply.

This is exactly the problem. There were discussions in the past where users had problems with USB drives mapped for MediaPortal. Unfortunately there is no solution I know of. Maybe you should rename this thread in "Mapping USB network share" or something like this. If somebody knows a solution he will reply.
