I've just installed MP on my new laptop and want to get it up and running. Currently it loads fine and it plays DVD's, CD's and ACC music files however there is no sound output what so ever. If I used Windows Media Player or iTunes I have no problem in getting sound. I've turned the volume up and down 50 times to make sure I'm not doing something stupid. I've checked the output mapping in the config and it's all set up for the default onboard sound card.
I've noticed people on here like to look at the .log file for a heads up. I've got my .log set to debug and was unable to find an .log file in the MP directory.
Please if anyone can give me a heads up where to look next I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance

it was the only option the machine came with so I thought I’d give it a go for a while. Seems okay just everything needs a work around at this stage. I'll give the custom scale a go this evening and hopefully I’ll be up and running.
