newbie Q:still only first 20 albums show up in My Music?? (2 Viewers)

I installed mediaportal and most things seem OK but My Music only displays the first 20 albums that are in the folder (recorded in an earlier excursion with mce).

I found a post that said this was a bug - supposedly fixed in an earlier release. Possibly it hasn't :wink: . I have tried various things including an "update database" but nothing has worked. The update database shows it picking up 110 CDs and 2500 tracks etc but only the first 20 albums are displayed?

Is there a solution for this?

The only way I can get all my music to show up in MP, is just select the My Music folder directly using MPconfiguration\music\folder and delete all files found in search, and as i said just specify the main my music folder and that should show everything.
I do not know why after the artists beginning with the letter C nothing is found, have just got used to adding them this way.

Thanks for the help and the links. I'll give them a go later. At the moment I still don't have any tv picture either after 10 days of fluffing around. That's a bigger worry but subject of another post.

At least I can listen to some music by an artist beginning with C now, while I try, yet again, to get a tv signal :lol:

I tried the tips suggested but still only get the first 20 albums or so - in alphabetical order. Since I also can't get any tv pictures I am probably going to have to give up on MP.
