Hi there, i am searching for a plugin that displays rss feeds / news while watching tv, like the newschannels in tv have. for example i could load an rss feed with information of my local newspaper and get it shown as a newsticker at the bottom of my tv screen.

is there already such a plugin or a similar plugin out there?
unfortunately i have no clue in programming such a plugin by myself

you could do a search for rssticker here on the forum. If it displays while watching TV I don't know, it does however display a ticker on the home screen.

Yes already exist, it's a plugin that is installed with MP so you already have it. Check MP Configuration, Plugins tab (you should enable Advanced mode to see all plugins).

I like it a lot, but the window that shows the actual text is too small, I wish it could be larger. Have to scroll a lot now.

But his question is to view RSS feeds during TV playback. I don't believe there's a plugin that facilitates that request.
