Since the SVN from 2.10. Mediaportal does not display unicode/asian characters in the directorys anymore. I think this "change" was introduced with the DirectX-patch from tourettes (there was some change that broke unicode-support for file names in Mediaportal).
The filenames with unicode characters are just shown as in the first picture below (empty lines). If I start an MP3 with these filenames it will be played but Mediaportal freezes instantly.
Reverting back to the SVN from 23.09. the unicode characters are displayed correctly and plays without freezing. Look at the second picture.
The third file is for testing purposes. Its an RAR-file with an empty directory with asian characters. Mediaportal 1.0RC3 will show it as empty file like in the first screen,1.0RC2 SVN 23.09.2008 shows it correct like in the second screen (for XP you need to install IME to show asian characters, for Vista you do not have to do this).
