im pretty new to Media Portal but after trying it for a few days i can already say it looks really promising. Ive been a dedicated MCE user but poor (well more like lack of) DVB-S support drove me to find another solution.
Ive spent a lot of time configuring it to how i want it like setting up channels an stuff. I was pleased to see support for DiSEqC however couldnt get it to work properly. no worries i already have a receiver for that so thats low priority. My current HTCP setup uses a Technotrend 1500 DVB-S card and CI connected to a Dish aimed at 28.8. Using a valid sky subscription card in a T-Rex cam i can decode all the channels fine. Only problem is now, im unable to get any audio on some of the MTV/Viacom owned channels (in particular MTV2, VH1 etc). Video is fine. if you look on http://en.kingofsat.net/pack-skydigital.php there are the channels listed along with a few audio PID's. i have tried all of them but none work. in the TTmediacentre software, if i select the 4th audio channel it works. I dont know if they use MP2 or AC3 (or wether that even matters).
Any help would be appreciated.
