Hi.

I have 3 clients and one server/client.....
The 2 clients works without problems and they are cable connected. But the last one (my laptop) wich is connected with wifi only shows tv 1 out of 10-15 times. And I either get "connection to server lost" or "no audio/video detected". This used to work until I changed to RC2.

server+client logs are attached.

Just tried on another laptop and same thing happens. Tv starts okay after 2-3 attempts but the "connection to server lost" still comes anyway..

client+server logs attached

Count you connect up the laptop which is failing via a wired connection and see if you get the same issue?

Also what sort of firewalls do you have installed?

I just tried with a wired connection on the first laptop and and the same thing happens "connection to server lost" but the epg seems to work (it also did before). So there must be some kind of connection between server and client.

I only use windows7 own firewall. And I have also tried to turn it off on server and client at the same time, but with the same result.

Please post full logs using a wired connection (previous logs were missing tvserver_tv.log from client logs). Also try disabling Tx/Rx checksum offloading (TCP and UDP) on the network card on the laptop to see if that helps. RC2 is much more sensitive to disconnections because the timeouts have been reduced to provide a smoother user experience. A wired connection is quite reliable and the reduced timeouts should not be a problem.

Here are new logs including server logs from client with a wired connection.

I dont have any options to disable tx/Rx checksum offloading (TCP and UDP).
    But I have:

1 rx and tx are activated
    2 rx is activated
    3 tx is activated
    4 activate

And I have tried all options but same result. "connection to server lost" or "no audio video detected"

If it is any help I just discovered that after closing MP on my laptop i still have an active stream on my server saying that it is streaming to bærbar (my laptop)

I'm experiencing "connection to server lost" or "no audio video detected" also with RC2.

On the client PC I can see the streamed tv for a couple of seconds before the error message. Then no more.

Server and client are both Windows 7 32 bit.

Server running both client and server works fine.

Even though mediacentre errors with "connection to server lost" or "no audio video detected" the stream continues, and if I connect using VLC on rtsp://10.1.1.6:5555/stream3.0 I can watch the stream fine...

Without logs it is rather hard to figure out what is happening.

I've attached some client logs from last night. Please let me know if you need any that I've missed...

This client notebook is running Windows 7 x64. Exactly the same results as the Windows 7 x32 PC I was trying also.

The server is a Windows 7 x32 PC, with WINTV4000 card.

I was trying both ports 554 and 5554. Firewall enabled, and disabled.

Result the same on both clients, TV would start, then error. VLC could connect to the stream and watch fine.

    Minor breakthrough for me -

I found that my x86 client's gental.config file was 0 bytes, so I copied it from the server. It's now streaming TV fine...

Just the x64 client not working now.
