    Hi.

I've got no artwork whatsoever in MP-TV Series, and it's driving me bonkers! It used to work ok, then I did a clean install of everything and now I can't get any banners, fanart, covers, episode screenshots, etc.

I've installed MP-TV Series as part of the StreamedMP skin, but used to have it before as a standalone plug-in on top of Blue3.

I've attached screenshots of what I see in mediaportal. A similar thing happens in the configuration program. The artwork seems to download (at least, it does something and if not that then I don't know what takes the time), and all the file names come up when I look over what's been imported, but they just don't show up in the boxes provided. Very strange.

Also, I did see the Wiki entry about Kaspersky interfering with this, and I do use Kaspersky, so I took the measures outlined in that Wiki entry and it made no difference whatsoever. Now I'm stuck. Any help much appreciated. :D

Oh, also, sorry for posting two questions up in different threads so close after each other. I'm not trying to hog the board here, it's just I did have two valid questions that were quite different from each other, so I thought they deserved separate threads. :sorry:

Can you see the banners ok on theTVDB.com? When you try to open the images from disk, are they also empty? You may need to double check your firewall settings as it looks like its being blocked. The wiki is pretty out of date so the settings there might not be totally accurate.

    Do this test:

    1. Delete your MPTVSeries thumbs directory
    2. Disable your firewall and/or any ad blocking software you have
    3. Run Import again.

Ok, trying that now... one strange thing though, it seems that there are folders and files corresponding to all my series, seasons and episodes in the thumbs folder, but they're just small pixel-type jpegs. Very wierd. Here's a screenshot:

Great, disabling the firewall seems to have worked, thanks!

However, I can't just keep disabling my firewall whenever I add new episodes or series to MP, so now I need to find someone who knows a bit about Kaspersky to tell me how to let all the MP-TV series data through, whilst keeping the firewall ON. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks again for all your help! :D

Hmmm... I'm still not getting fanart, though. Very strange. I just get the "Cinema" image of loads of red chairs that I think is part of StreamedMP. No other backgrounds show up and I'm not sure if they even download.

This is wierd, but my main concern right now is actually my other problem of configuring Kaspersky to let all the Mediaportal and TV-Series data through. I've done the steps indicated on the Wiki page, but still no change. Thanks for any and all help! :)

TVSeries fanart is controlled manually, so you need to bring up the menu and select Fanart. This will allow you to pick your favourite fanarts online.

    Great, that's fantastic, thanks!

Just one more question - is there a way to assign different fanart to different screens in TV Series? For example - I'd like to have one for when you're browsing series banners, a different one for when you're selecting a season (perhaps one per season to match in with that season's theme, eg with LOST you would have season 1 with all the original characters who crashed on the plane, but season 4 with characters like Juliett and Ben in it). And maybe even a different one for once you've selected a season?

Another motivation for wanting this is that, again taking LOST as an example, in some fanarts the people are at the bottom and are obscured by the theme's info and episode selection, etc. But in some fanarts they are close-up, and reach the top of the screen, which looks better. The long-shot style ones are great for browsing the banners, but I'd like to use the close-up ones for when I'm selecting seasons and episodes. Any possibility to do this? :D

There is a way to make a season fanart load but its a manual process, but thats the old manual way before there was a fanart chooser. Now fanart is preferred from the database rather than manually dropped in files.

I want to add a feature to the Fanart Chooser, so you can assign a season to the Fanart. This way when you select a season only those fanarts that match will be displayed. I would prefer there was a way on theTVDB to set a season field, maybe this will be done sometime.

I guess would be a cool feature as well to assign a particular view to a fanart as well. Perhaps you can raise that as a enhancement in the Issue Tracker so we dont loose track.
