MediaPortal Version: MediaPortal v1.1 Final
Windows Version: Windows 7 x64
CPU Type: AMD Phenom II x2 550
HDD: 2x 750GB RAID 0
Memory: 4GB DDR3
Motherboard: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
Video Card: ATI onboard
Sound Card: Onboard
1. TV Card: Avermedia A825 (shows in MP as AF9015)
1. TV Card Type: Dual DVB-T USB
1. TV Card Driver: 8.0.64.26 25/05/2009

Hi, I have just installed Win7 x64 and Mediaportal. I previously had MP setup working under XP.

The problem is that I cannot get any channels to scan on my Dual DVB-T Usb TV card.

I have tested with avermedia application and it can find channels and view them no problem.

What could cause this?

These lines appear in error.log when I try channel scan:
2010-09-01 07:40:18.545910 [(6)]: dvb: Failed to add bda receiver: AF9015 BDA Filter. Is it in use?
2010-09-01 07:40:18.900914 [(6)]: dvb: Failed to add bda receiver: AF9015 BDA Filter. Is it in use?

I have attached tv.log for further info. I have a 2nd TV card installed but I keep that disabled in MP.

I would like to get MP running under Win7 with my A825 but it is useless without any channels being detected! :(

Strange thing is that when I first installed MP I am sure it scanned channels fine with A825 but would not update EPG. I tried reinstalling and lost channels altogether.

All help appreciated.

Thanks,
Feizex.

I can't get it to work no matter what I try. I have decided to use Windows Media Centre and Remote Potato for the time being. Though that means I can only record one channel from a stream per tuner. It is still better than none.

This could still be an avermedia driver issue, but Avermedia App works fine as does WMC, so I am pegging this as an MP issue for the moment.

Hi,

I rebuilt my PC with Win7 x64 again and tried MP again - this time it worked!

Sorry, not sure what I did different.

I'm having trouble trying to get Web Interface to work, so I have tried MP WebServices Plugin instead. Seems to be OK. =)

Regards,
Feizex.

    Hi shaouti125

No need to switch to MCE - all AFA9015 based tuners including the A825 should definitely work with TV Server! :)
Could you please post your TV Server logs so I can see what is going wrong. There are instructions for posting logs -->here<--. Use the third option - "export all currently present logs"...

    Best regards,
    mm

    Hi mm1352000,
Thanks for the help. After I restore my computer to the very early restore point. I can scan channel this time. That's amazing!! I don't know what is the issue but here is the case study for others. My spec
    HTPC: ASROCK 100HT
    OS: Win7 32 bit
Program installed: PowerDVD11, Totalmedia 3(I use AD300 Tv tuner before), Alcohol 120%, Avast 6

After I upgrade AD300 TV tuner to Twin Star, although the driver upgrade to AFA9015 in MP successfully but no channel can be found in MP. Even I compltely remove MP and re-install still have no luck. At first I though the database is not update but seems it is not the case.

After I decide to re-install OS, I try to restor the computer to the very early restor point. Then MP works like a charm!!
I hope this might help to others.

    Cheers
