no connection to the SQL-Server (1 Viewer)

hello

i installed mediaPortal 2day here and also installes MySQL5 but i get not connection
i have XP Pro SP3 here to tun with a hauppauge WINTV Nova S2 Plus . No TV Services
a message appears Loosing connection TV Service all the times and Media Portal crashes
as well 1 time.

how cn i ust this Software when it not knows my TV hardware ?

and how did get connection to the SQL Databse?

Hi haylebob,
I just found the answer for myself, not sure it can help you or not.
I'm upgrade MP from 1.02, And I had setup MySQL5.0 before in the computer.
After I un-install all MP1.02 and MySQL5.0, the database on MySQL5.0 Still in my HD.
So when I install the MP1.1 and MySQL5.1, the database have error message and stop further installation and setup the the MySQL.
So, I un-install all MP1.1 and MySQL again and manuelly remove the MySQL folder at
"Program file" and (for XP) "My Document -> Application Data -> MySQL" For W7 "User->All user -> MySQL

After that reset PC and install again. Then it can now setup the TV dbase. Since I don't have time yesterday to complete the TV setting, I will try it and see whether it can function normally.
