Hi all,

my TVguide in MP is not showing any data.
The tvguide.xml is filled with data and has completed the download (attached the file). But when I start MP and open the TVguide, it is completely empty.

I also ran tvguidescheduler.exe (not sure if one should run it as a command) , but it crashed. So I assume it cannot insert the collected data into the database for some reason.

any ideas?

:D

    Hi there and welcome :)

Looks like your TV Server is not starting up:
2009-07-27 06:00:19.765625 [TVService]: Controller: Failed to initialize TVServer

Did you follow all instructions in Installation and Configuration manual and was your database user/password (default sa/MediaPortal) accepted on first start of TVServer Configuration?

    no TV server

actually I did install TV server at the beginning, but I´ve figured that I don`t need it and so I uninstalled it. My understanding is that it is only needed for multiple clients and HDTV (which I currently don`t watch).

I must say I´m a beginner with MP...

TVServer is definitely not only intended for use with multiple clients. Even with one client, it is way better (imo) than the old inbuilt TVEngine. I am just wondering if you uninstalled it, why it is still part of your logs...

So just to be 100% sure - did you thus configure the TV Section and XMLTV inside the MPConfiguration program? If you can attach a few screenshots it might be helpful for people reading here to assist you.

good question, maybe the uninstall went as clean as most other software do... ? :D
    really, I don`t know.

    yep, I´ve attached screenshots.
I use WebEPG with the webepg config tool

Those screens are from the built in TV engine which is now removed from MP. You should instead use the WebEPG-conf.exe if using MP 1.0.2 or TV-Server Configuration / Plugins / WebEPG if using MP 1.1.0a.
