did a quick search couldn't find this problem
when a dvd is inserted, play disk selected, opening dvd video plays,then blank screen, back on remote doesn't do anything, only way to exit mp is to use task manager, when mp exits the taskbar has disappeared, jpg attached, logs attached
mp was upgraded from rc1 when things were working ok
am i missing something obvious here?

**sorted by changing the codec to mpc, for some reason it had changed to the ati one
