Hello,
i have a problem with myTV
If i start myTV for the first time i do see nothing (even in the start screen of myTV with the preview), but i can hear the sound. If i switch to full screen mode i can't see anything also (sound is OK). When i switch back to the myTV start screen (Preview) the video is visible. It is not possible to get the video in the full screen mode.
What do i need to to?
Thanks in advance for any help.

regards

Matthias

    Hi,

you are using a PAL TV. Do you have a PC monitor installed as well? If so, is there no picture on both screens or only one of them? Just thinking about an overlay issue...

    Best regards

    Hi Henning,
    thanks for your answer.
My system has 2 graphic cards. The onboard graphic is an ATI, the second card is an Nvidia. The TV is connected to the S-Video Port of the nvidia card. The mouse cursor is visible on the TV. Thefore it's not a problem of basic configuration. I connected a LCD to the DVI Port of the Nvidia card. On the LCD i can see the TV program. But also on the LCD the output of the TV Card has dropouts in irregular intervals. The video an sound freezes for 1 second.
In the MP configuration i used the Hauppauge decoder.
As I don't know what are the most suitable decoders i would be very grateful if someone could give me an advice which one i should use and from where i can get them.

    Regards

    Matthias

Don't know nvidia graphic cards, but with ati cards is as far as I remember the video overlay only active at the primary display. Please try to configure the video output as primary display.

You can use the build in decoder MPA and MPV. These are working fine for me. Most actual PowerDVD may give slightly better results. For MPEG4 etc I'm using ffdshow. Recommendations are given in the MediaPortal manual
