All the DVB-S channels are OK, but:
I can't see any H.264 DVB -S2 channel on Astra19.2 and HotBird13.0
When I tune for example on LuxeTVHD graphedit tell me that MP is using nVidia Decoder. Images are not displayed because Luxe Tv is a h.264 channel, nVidia is not an h.264 decoder. NVidia is my set decoder in MPSettings TV options but for H.264 it should use CyberlinkH264 decoder installed in my system.... What I miss?
I tried other different HD H.264 channels; Only AstraHD is ok because it broadcast in Mpeg2HD... All H.264 channels work fine in DVBViewer so is not a problem of codecs.
Here the image of the graph used by MP with LuxeTvHD:

To view h.264 you need a codec which can both decode mpeg-2 and h.264
As far as i know Cyberlink PDVD7 is the only one which can do this.
If you select this for movies & tv (in configuration.exe) it should work

    Howdy frodo,

I'm a bit confused. Can you please explain a little bit why is that so? Is it a limitation of the TS parser? The way it's broadcast? Enforced pin connections in mediaportal? I am no expert at all in this field but willing to understand a tad more.
This brings me then to my final question: is it going to evolve at one time in the development of the TV engine (i.e. the ability to use another filter to decode AVC streams)?

    thanks for your consideration

I can confirm what Frodo wrote,

with dscaler set as decoder for tv
I wasn't able to to view h.264 channels

with cyberlink powerdvd7 set as decoder
dvb-s and s2 channels work properly

I'd like to use nVidia for mpeg2 and cyberlink h.264 for mpeg4
however for what i know, cyberlink for mpeg2 is completely different from cyberlink h.264. one can decode mpeg2 the other only h.264. But i will try...
    thanks

In the tv decoder pull down menu I chose "Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder",
as said this works for dvb-s and dvb-s2

if you want to stick with nvidia there's the possibility to get
    nividia purevideo hd

The information supplied is incorrect the MPEG-2 decoder cannot decode H.264 streams. MediaPortal will connect to the highest merit H.264 decoder where applicable however that considering if the streams are being dealt with properly.

Franky, do you still have this problem?

I'm also having this problem when trying to switch channels in the UK. I've using DVB-T from crystal palace which is mpeg2, but I can pick up the BBC HD trial which uses h.264. I've also tried the cyberlink method and it doesn't work either, just get a black screen.
