No items in Video List (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm a new user of MediaPortal.

My video list worked well, I was browsing folders on PC and on FTP server. After playing some files, I went to Video list again and now I can't see any item. In the left menu I have selected File View, sorting by Name and still, I cannot see any list of my videos. Nothing happens even if I go to playlists and back. This is happening second time for me. The first time I tried to click on everything I see on the screen and the list magicly showed up. But now I'm in the same point with no luck to display list of videos. I'm sure I missed some information in navigation, maybe I switched the list in some bad view or sorting... I spent hours of googling and browsing forum.

Can somebody give me a clue?

In the left menu I have selected File View

Can you try SHARES view. I suspect you did not scan the video database in MPConfig.

Howdy!

I have a similar problem, also in ShareView. These are the users details:

user: media
pass: media
home: /
movies located: /USB/MOVIES
protocol: ftp :21

So I'm confused with local directory and remote? I only have a remote directory.

Any help with REALLY b appreciated

RESOLVED: Media Portal Uses ACTIVE FTP. Needed to Enable active FTP on the server. If its a UNIX server like mine, ensure the kernel and firewall are active FTP aware.
