I followed the instructions on the Wiki and set up the channels I could find in the grabbers for Switzerland (CH). However, I get no guide information. The instructions I have found for debugging seem very opaque to me. The log doesn't seem to give an reason for the failures, but if I try to use the URLs I find in it, I don't get anything useful. :( Does this mean that the grabber files I downloaded with MP 0.2.2.0 are no longer good? If so, how can I fix them (or get valid ones)?
Attached is a zipfile with the log, grabber files, and the XML files generated by WebEPG. One exception is \WebEPG\Channels\Channels.xml, which I expected to be generated, but which is unchanged.

    Hi rsbrux

I tried your 20min_ch.xml grabber file with your channel list and it works for me. I have a SVN version (a couple of weeks old) installed. I don't know if you have any SVN's installed, but maybe that's the difference...
In my WebEPG.log file, I can see a version number for WebEPG (2.4.5.0), but I can't find a version number in your file. I suggest you try a 'new' version of WebEPG from SVN and try it again...

    Cheers,
    TimmyT

    Hi Timmy,
Thanks for your response. My WebEPG.exe identifies itself as version 1.0.2546.32622.
If by SVN you mean one of the nightly builds, I'm a little nervous about this.
To what extent are these tested? Which ones can be considered "official" patch releases?
    Regards,
    Roger

p.s. I found the Wiki pages:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Us...head-ce66dd17b8209bad05a3065043ac80f0493f5123
    and
    http://updates.team-mediaportal.com/
but the latest patch shown seems to apply to release 0.2.0.4 and is IAC older than the 0.2.2.0 installation

    Hi Roger
I've been working with the SVN releases since the beginning, and they're usually pretty stable. But if you don't want to update your whole MediaPortal installation, you can just use the new WebEPG part from SVN. I'm not sure which files you need to pull, probably just the WebEPG dll and exe as well as the newest 20min_ch.xml grabber file.

btw, you'll find the SVN files applying to the 0.2.2 release here:

Hi james could you just have a look at the canalsat.fr grabber, I don't know if the new layout is still possible to grab with webepg ? :)

    Thanks

    Hi *,
I have now installed SVN MediaPortal-svn--05-10-2007--01-03-Rev14579.exe, as suggested by TimmyT, with the result that I now have a few entries in the Guide. However, most stations still have no information. It doesn't look as though the process is finishing correctly. Apparently, the system goes to sleep (hibernate) while the update is still running. How can I prevent this?

    Hi rsbrux,

I'm using the latest SVN and I don't have any problem with working grabbers (some are outdated)

I'm using the MP Plugin WebEPG Grabber which wake-up my system grab the whole EPG and then return the HTPC to standby.

Could you please post some logs and describe what you are doing ?

    Hi CHli,
:D for responding! Whenever WebEPG.exe runs, it seems to terminate without finishing the job. I generally find both TVguide-writing.xml and TVguide.xml in my xmltv folder (examples together with logs in attached zipfile). The TV Guide in MePo displays data for only a handful of stations, even though I have most of them mapped to the grabber files attached to my previous message.

P.S. I forgot to mention that I installed MediaPortal-svn--05-31-2007--01-01-Rev14765.exe, but it doesn't appear to change the behaviour.
