Hello,
I installed MediaPortal on Windows 7 x64 and everything was fine. Successfully watched TV with the TechniSat SkyStar 2 PCI. Then I installed PowerDVD8 that came as OEM with my BD-ROM. Included a link on the main menu to start PowerDVD8 as an external application with the help of multishortcut. Everything still worked fine, especially with live TV.
At one of the startups PowerDVD8 told me (via some sort of autoupdate-checker) that there was a patch/update available and asked if I want to install it. I did that and afterwards I restarted the whole system - and from that point MediaPortal live TV stopped working. I assume that PowerDVD messed up the codecs or something like that, because the SkyStar card itself works perfectly and EPG grabbing is running well. I just can't watch anything. Everytime I start live TV MediaPortal brings up the error "Unable to play: live3-0.ts.tsbuffer".
I even can't preview the channels in TV-server configuration - when I try to preview a channel the popup windows stays with white background.
De-installing PowerDVD did not help.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Jens
