hi,

i have noticed that since i am using the mp 1.1beta there are no more thumbs created for recorded tv shows. even with the actual svn i still have this problem. is this a general problem or am i the only one?

Is thumbs generation still enabled in your MP Configuration?

Mine is working.
I am on latest public SVN. One of the last two public SVN's contained some fixes for MTN. Not sure which one. You can check the changelogs.

If you are already on latest SVN:
After a new recording, go to the screen where thumb should be generated and displayed and then afterwards check in your logs if you see something.

i am already on the latest svn but i just found the problem in the log:

GUIRecordedTV: skipping thumbworker thread - RTSP mode is in use

so it semms that the thumbs are not created in a multiseat configuration because this feature is disabled. thats really a petty

is there another possibility to creat the thumbs again?

with rtsp disabled its working i will test this if i have any other issues with this option.

hm this is not working reliable, i do often have crashed mtn.exe processes. unfortunately i have speed problems with the non-rtsp-mode, too. so this is not the solution to my problem.

the best solution for me would be a tv-server version of this plugin, perhaps the author is answering me to my wish in this thread

i tested the thumbnailer plugin, but its generationg no thumbs in the local mp thumb folder, only a folder.jpg in each videofile-folder. so this is not the solution for me.

is there a plan to integrate thumb creating when using rtsp mode or is this impossible? i still have this wish

This is impossible since the network client does not have access to the folder where the shares are kept. It streams the video files using a different (rtsp) protocol.

I have the same problem. From Version 1.1.0, no Thumbnails.
Tip: I use the old Version of mtn 1.0.2 (completely Thumbnail Folder) - its OK
