No Movies option as noted in Setup Guide for 1st time users (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Skin: Default
Windows Version: XP


I am a first time MP user but not a novice at HTPCs (MCE 2005 was last platform). I am moving away from MCE since My Movies 2 is no longer supported and MM3 is Vista and beyond.

In downloading MP, I read the 1st Time Users Guide instructions. It states " ... start MediaPortal configuration... Browse to Movies/Movie Folders and specify the location of your movie collection." My MediaPortal config screen does not have that option. Did I install wrong?

Apparently the Movies option went away and the 1st users guide is incorrect. I set up my movies folder under videos and it worked reasonably well.

Two questions come to mind...

Does MP have a similar feature as Media Center where you can filter movies that have not yet been watched?

Is there a way to make all movies appear in one listing despite them being in multiple folders?

If you scan movies to database and use database views in stead of Shares view, then it will be one list.
