Synopsis::

After resume from suspend MyMusic wont play anything when using BASSS engine. It's not just the absence of sound, the player doens't even start.
Only after playing something else (e.g. movie) the USB soundcard is re-enabled and Bass will work again.
Would you please make mediaportal reinitialize the (usb) soundcard when resuming from suspend?

This problem only exists when using BASS engine! I have always had this problem, the new .dll didn't fix it.

Thanks!!

    This needn't be a MP problem.

    Maybe your network shares aren't auto-reconnected - iirc the mce community has a tool in its faq to do this on resume.

    Did you just play a playlist or use a database view?

    Hi rtv,
    Thanks for your quick reply.

    There's no problem when I use the internal DShow player.
    Video files are also on the network and do play fine, so it's very unlikely to be a network issue.
    Looks like a bass related problem when using usb soundblaster. I suspect the USB bit is the key here.....

    It's weird that if i play a video after suspend the bass engine works again. Everything seems to point in the direction of the soundcard not being available to the bass engine after resuming from suspend to RAM........ until another program (or part of MP) has used the souncard.

    I agree it might not be a MP problem, but a problem with bass and usb soundblaster drivers. However, It might be easy to fix in MP by reinit soundblaster after resume.

    I used the shared files view, not the database or any playlist.
