Hello experts!

First of all: I'm new to MP and I'm very impressed by Your work! Well done!

My Problem: I use MP on 2003 Server and it works fine and fast - except recording. I can not record anything - even timeshifting doesn't work. Everytime I click on "record" or "timeshift on" the TV output is stopped and nothing is to see any more. When I stop recording TV output can be switched on again.

In my error.log I've found:
2007-01-18 08:59:13.225625 [ERROR][6]: mpeg2:FAILED to add Videoanalyzer (You need at least Windows XP SP1!!)
2007-01-18 08:59:13.319375 [ERROR][6]: mpeg2:confused:tartRecording() FAILED to create recording
:eek:
What can I do? In some of the forum postings I've read, that MP works fine on 2003 Server - so this might not be a general OS problem - right?

BTW: With the original WinTV software recording and timeshifting works fantastic (even with sceneo TVCentral).

:D for Your help and "Keep it on!".

MP's standard setting is to record in your profile. Probably, your profile is subject to a quota...
Try reconfigure the 'Record'-location to a folder in which you have read-write access AND have a lot of space!

Cheers,

Hi Havoc!
Thanks for Your idea. But I've changed the setting already, so my recording device is accessable and has 350GB free space.

I want to use MP by all means - but I need it under 2003 server. Does anyone have any more ideas?

Thanks a lot
Karsten

If you are not using TVEngine 3 and using the version 2 engine then you will need to install the MS Stream Buffer Engine. There should be some threads in the forum on running on 2003 server, look 6 months and older.
