    Hi,

I believe it has been reported before, but enabling the BASS audio engine still blocks S/PDIF output to my receiver. I have tried multiple codec configurations without any success so far. Does anyone else have this problem? I am using the latest 0.2.2.0 version.

Always using S/PDIF to AVR working nicely here..
Try setting your sound device explicitly or vice versa

Same problem. I noticed that when BASS is enabled then my avr shows that a pcm stream is detected even when MP is idle. i.e. no tv/music etc playing. This seems to prevent the ac3 or dts stream from being able to use the spdif channel. If BASS is not select in MyMusic then my avr shows pcm detected only when tv/music is playing, nothing detected when nothing is playing and dolby or dts detected when playing a dvd. Sorry if all terms not used correctly, but I'm a beginner at this.

    Hi all,
I believe this is the same problem I do have. But I already spoke with Helmut and he he knows where the problem is located.
He has not that much time at the moment but will look into it in the next days.

    Patric is right.

i'll change the code to only enable BASS, when entering MY Music.
doing this will not affect the other modules.

Thanks, I hope that will help. I have even tried the PowerDVD video and audio codecs to solve the issue but after i play a DVD in MP with BASS enabled in MyMusic the registry setting for S/PDIF output in the PowerDVD audio codec also gets reset !!

i've just commited some code to svn.
whenever you play now non-audio content, BASS is disabled.

please try with the next nightly svn build and tell me if your problems are gone.

    Hi,

I do not know if this is related. But as soon as I have played a DVD from a share (deamon) and go back to music the songs will not play. Time stays on zero. The input on my receiver still displays Dolby Digital.

    So to reproduce:
1 - play song in my music (receiver plays pcm)
    2 - Goto my video
3- play DVD from share (receiver plays DD) and stop DVD
    4 - Goto music
5 - play song and time stays on zero (receiver still on Dolby Digital)

    log attached

I didn't free the BASS engine on DVD playback.
It's done now, with the latest svn.
grab a svn build done after 13:00 today and give it a try
