Hello,

I have recently install mediaportal and the setup wizard never came up. When I try to run the Setup Media Portal icon after the setup executable installed mediaportal its giving me options but my ATI Video Capture Card is not being detected. I really want to make your program work on my machine. My specs are high enough to run the software but evidently something is missing in the setup. Please help so that I can give a good review of this product to others. My Video Card is showing as empty in the Setup of Mediaportal, etc... and I never got the full wizard to pop up after I unzip and ran the setup file.

Gracias!

No TV Card Detected

Well, after posting that after setup MediaPortal will not detect my ATI All In Wonder 9800 card, and not getting an answer, I will switch to either BeyondTV or SageTV. Less headache. Great software support. Thanks!

If you check the list of Supported TV Cards, you will notice that the ATI All In Wonder 9800 is not listed.

I assume that your TV card is a software encoding card (as you didn't bother to include this information in your first post)?

Why the attitude - the guy is just asking for some help and is a little annoyed that he can't get any. As for 9800 aiw not being supported - if you check your own specs, it says the 9600 aiw IS supported. And the 9800 is no different than the 9600 as far as TV tuner functionality is concerned.

    Hi,

I do not see any attitude in Taipans post. And its simply a difference in detecting the card, if the name differs.

So the OP could have used this page to get his card supported. Also he did only wait one day to get an answer. After he did get one, he could have found the page I mentioned.

ATI All In Wonder 9800 card

    Hi.
I have a ATI All In Wonder 9800 card and this is working perfect with MediaPortal 0.2.0.0 RC4 and latest SVN.
The only thing is that I have to use Catalyst 6.2 and 9-13_encoder.
If I use Catalyst 6.3 or 6.4 ,there is black tv screen. I have change pin output and got grafedit to look as it should, then I got tv picture and sound but sound is 1-2sec. before picture.
