I'm curious to know this since (from what I understand) MP is written primarly for use with Hauppage cards in mind, or something to that tune.

Do the hauppage cards suffer the same "no signal" error, I dont seem to see anyone complaining if they do?

I'm asking as I was pondering the cost of buying another tv card and am tempted by a twin tuner hauppage to sit alongside my twin tuner terratec.

The terratec records perfectly so really I would be getting to the stage of watching tv on the hauppage and recording with the other three tuners. And yes in the short period of time I really have discovered that now that I can, I would like to record that many programs at the same time :p

Also, and I am not sure if we are supposed to ask this. I can't get sky for zoning reasons :p damn you local authority!! so I am stuck with freeview, I never bought myself a box with a top-up-tv card slot in it. Now I am using media portal can I buy a subscription and somehow use it with media portal. If so how? I guess I cant stick the card in the floppy disk drive :p lol (that was a joke)

    Hi,

I use a PVR 150 and 350 and do also run into "no signal" from time to time. :(

It got a bit better with latest CVS version although. So I think your twinhan should also benefit from that. You may also try different codecs. I get less no signal with DScaler for example, but the image quality of the MPEG2Dec is much better. So I assume that the problem is not really a bad signal, but a bad decoding (for analog input!).

    Flip.
