No sound, at all!? (1 Viewer)

No sound at all.
Video files play, and music files appear to play (both mp3 and flac), but there is no sound. I had sound at first but then it disappeared. Have uninstalled Mediaportal and installed again, twice. Still no sound.

Suggestions?


Tried running the "watch dog" for logs, but keep getting error message.

Edit: I managed to get a log file, but not able to "clean out" first (step 1 = exception error).

Have keyboard, hit the start button with MP running, now try raising the volume or mute button, what happens is, you have muted\lowered volume for MP in the Vista sound panel.

One of the ways around this is to use 3RVX as per here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/380739-post7.html

It's easy when you know where to look! I just had to click on the sound panel tray icon, click "mixer", and adjust the settings.
(Don't know what I did to mess up that setting in the first place, though...)
