Hi *,
Although I heard sound during channel scan for both Radio and TV, I don't get any sound in either when I start them from the user interface. What could possibly be causing this? How can I fix it, or at least narrow it down? Music plays fine.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't know what I did, but I have TV sound now. Radio is still mute.
P.S. Went through setup for radio again and now have sound for radio as well!
P.P.S. Unfortunately, I spoke too soon. I am not getting any sound for the composite or SVHS inputs on my TV card. I have tried all of the combinations of audio mapping and channel selection, and still no joy
BTW, 2 things in this process strike me as a PITA:
1. Having to kill MP, start the config prog. leave config and restart MP to try out each change (I know, this has already been mentioned elsewhere).
2. Not being able to add more than one "special" channel to the list of TV channels. The card configuration provides for 5 different inputs, and my Hauppauge HVR-1300 supports at least 2 (CVBS and SVHS). Why can't I add both to the list of channels?
P.P.P.S.
Stupid user mistake! I now have audio for composite input. It helps if the configuration and the physical cabling agree with one another. PITA peeves above still apply.
P.P.P.P.S.
Now my FM Radio has stopped working!
Stations can be tuned, but no sound results.
How can I fix this, short of reinstalling everything?
