No Sound in Windows but ok in Mediaportal (1 Viewer)

I am using SPDIF to 5.1 external amp. Sound was ok but not working after standby.

I installed latest bios and latest driver for asus m2n68 board and set MP to start immediately when windows starts. Standby issue resolved however now...

If I shut down Mediaportal after it boots up I dont get any sound in WindowsXP/Games.

When I Start Media portal the Sound is ok ??

Just wondering if any MP services are still running which may be preventing sound for other applications ?

Sorry, WAV and CD AUDIO was magically disabled in the Volume Panel.. Must have happened when I installed the drivers.
