I have a bunch of movies I have created/pulled off of digital tape capture from a home Sony camera. When I have done this, I have created both dv and mpg2 video formats. I have done this conversion using Roxio Media Creator and these videos play fine in mplayer as well as with windows media player and play sound without any issues. When I use the built-in player in MP, I have issues with many of my videos having no sound? I have played around with the audio settings in MP config and tried all of them with no luck. I'm not sure what else to try.
I have also played with using mplayer as the external player, which appears to work, however, I like to utilize ISO DVD's and the built-in player handles these well and when I have used 2 video folders - 1 internal and 1 mplayer, when I switch back and forth, I then have issues with the mplayer plugin showing audio without video...so if possible, I would prefer to use a single player, preferrably the built-in player within MP.
Any ideas as to what would cause the internal player to not have audio for certain mpg2 files?
Thanks.
