no sound while playing movies (1 Viewer)

Hello guys,
i am new in mediaportal. After installation i can not get rid of one issue.

My Tv (video+audio) works, My music (audio) works, BUT when I play movies mpg or vob files, i see the video but there is no audio.

I played around with the audio codecs, seems to me I’ve tried everything. Even looked around in this forum and on the internet, but still unable to find anything.

Have you ever met with this issue???

Do you have FFDShow Tryouts and haali media splitter.

I know these are mainly for Movie\video files and generally recommended to be installed anyway (make sure if using subs to enable autorun VSFilter in haali config)

Under Movies\Video player, select ffdshow as audio codec (tick volume and enable ac3 in config), and i take it as the audio renderer you have default sound device selected (you could see if any of the other selections work, but default usually fine).

Make sure you are using latests driver for your audio device, has been known for this to be a issue.

for more help please tell us what codecs etc you have tried.

re-installed ffdshow, went to audio decoder set up and ticked the volume.

I guess that was the main issue (working fine).
